Personal · the part that isn’t a résumé
Just so you know who you’d actually be sitting next to. I lift, I play a lot of competitive games, and I spend as much time outside as the weather here lets me.
Outside the work
six days a week. I like it because the feedback is completely honest. The weight either moves or it doesn’t, and there is no clever way around simply showing up again. It is my main routine. I really enjoy training in a powerlifting style using an Upper Lower split.
Mostly competitive stuff, right now I am really into a game called Deadlock. I like it because you can genuinely get better at it rather than just finish. It is also how I keep up with friends who don’t live anywhere near me anymore.
Hiking, lakes, ESPECIALLY waterfalls. anything with a decent view at the end of it. I grew up out here and got lucky with it, so most summer weekends end up somewhere like the photos below.
A few places

That last one is 315 on the bench in high school, which I was quietly pleased about. The rest is Vancouver Island, mostly in the two months a year it stops raining.
What I actually care about
That is genuinely most of it. Good company, something to solve, grind, and a bonus if I get the involve myself with nature.
